Terms and Conditions

Welcome to NovaHal Health. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and the healthcare services we provide. By accessing our site or scheduling an appointment, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Healthcare Disclaimer

All content provided on this website is for informational purposes only and is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Accessing this site or its materials does not establish a provider-patient relationship unless and until you complete a scheduled consultation with one of our licensed providers.

2. Services & Eligibility

NovaHal Health provides virtual and in-person primary care and mental health services to individuals ages 6 and older residing in California.

You must be at least 18 years old or have consent from a parent or legal guardian to use our services.

3. Payment Policy

NovaHal Health is a cash-pay-only practice. We do not bill insurance directly, allowing us to deliver personalized, confidential care without restrictions imposed by insurance networks.

Payment is due at the time of service.

Fees may vary depending on the appointment type, service provided, and whether care is delivered virtually or in person.

A $25 deposit is required at booking to reserve your appointment.

We accept cash, credit/debit cards, Health Savings Account (HSA), and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) payments.

If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, a $75 cancellation fee may apply. Missed appointments (“no-shows”) may be charged the full session fee.

4. Insurance & Reimbursement

While NovaHal Health does not bill insurance directly, you may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance provider.

Upon request, we will provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company.

Coverage and reimbursement rates vary by plan. Please contact your insurance provider directly for details regarding out-of-network benefits and reimbursement eligibility.

5. Telehealth Services

Certain services offered by NovaHal Health may be provided through secure telehealth technology. By scheduling a virtual appointment, you consent to receive healthcare services electronically through audio, video, or other communication technologies in accordance with California telehealth laws and regulations.

While telehealth offers convenience and accessibility, technical interruptions or limitations may occasionally occur. Patients are responsible for ensuring they have access to a stable internet connection and a private environment during virtual appointments.

6. Privacy & HIPAA Compliance

NovaHal Health is committed to protecting your Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA and all applicable federal and state privacy laws.

Please review our Privacy Policy for full details regarding how your information is collected, used, stored, and protected.

7. Appointments & Cancellations

To respect your provider’s time and ensure appointment availability for all patients:

  • Please cancel or reschedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment may incur a $75 cancellation fee.

  • Missed appointments (“no-shows”) may be charged the full session fee.

  • Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may impact your ability to continue scheduling services with our practice.

  • Patients attending in-person appointments are expected to arrive on time and follow all office policies and safety guidelines.

Patients are responsible for providing accurate health information during both virtual and in-person visits.

8. Use of Website

You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only. Any attempt to access restricted areas, misuse information, or disrupt our website, scheduling systems, virtual platforms, or healthcare services is strictly prohibited.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, branding, text, graphics, images, and materials displayed on this website are the exclusive property of NovaHal Health and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used without prior written permission.

10. Modifications to Terms

NovaHal Health reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be reflected on this page with the revised effective date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
